Coach King is always the positive and up beat person that everyone loves. He’s always willing to help, in fact he always wants to help people, regardless if he knows you. He is also a person that I always go to and ask for advice before making big important decisions. He just always has the right thing to say. Just being in his presence makes people happy and the way he tries to keep morale boosted during these covid times is phenomenal. One of the best thing about him is that he does not require recognition for anything he does. I cannot say enough good things about Coach King.

Ryan King continues to be the ultimate Swiss Army Knife for Maine Maritime Academy, year in and year out. There has never been a task too small for Ryan, who always under-promises and always overdelivers. His service to others has been challenged like never before with a heavy volume of work foisted upon him by the pandemic and the associated financial uncertainties it has created, but exhausted he continued to be exactly who he has always been – the guy that delivers. He continued to provide positive outlets for runners on the cross country team and he continued to say that we know what he is saying, when most of the time we don’t, we just know he is right and we are right to trust whatever he is saying.
