Department of Residential Life and Student Activities

The Department of Residential Life and Student Activities supports the Academy’s academic mission by fostering a welcoming living and learning environment through a holistic approach to education.  We instill a culture of diverse and caring interactions, empowering students and preparing them to be responsible members of the global community.

The residential life team is here to assist Maine Maritime’s residential community in various capacities, including, building a sense of community through residence hall programming, enforcing college policies and acting as a liaison with our public works team.  Our professional staff is comprised of a Dean of Student Services, Director of Residential Life & Student Activities, Assistant Director of Residential Life, Student Activities Coordinator/Residence Manager for the Commons, and a Community Coordinator. Our paraprofessional staff is comprised of two Undergraduate Assistants, 13 Resident Assistants, a Senior Resident Assistant, and various Desk Assistants.  Our goal is to work together with our residential student body to create a sense of community and supportive living and learning environment.

Residential Life and Student Services offices are located on the first floor of Curtis Hall.  During the academic year, the front desk is covered by a professional team member Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and by paraprofessional team members from 4:30 pm – 1:00 am. On weekends, the desk is covered by paraprofessional team members from 8:30 am – 1:00 am. During breaks, they Desk is not always covered, as the building may be closed.

The Housing Gateway is accessible 24/7 at
