I’d like to nominate Jessica Muhlin for the MMA Crushing Covid Leadership award. Throughout this pandemic, Jessie has lead the Ocean Studies department with kindness and empathy. This has been a time of anxiety, disruption, sadness, and stress, experienced by faculty, staff, and students alike; I’ve witnessed Jessie modeling the compassionate leadership that has been so needed as we grapple with this year’s pandemic challenges.
