The Facilities employees were the first back to campus to get it ready for our new “normal”. Custodians worked tirelessly to keep rooms and equipment sanitized and to find the right products for employees to use in classrooms for disinfection. Carpenters built plexiglass shields and Dutch doors so that employees could distance properly in classrooms and offices. The Grounds crew moved furniture in classrooms and offices and exercise equipment so that distancing guidelines could be followed. Our postman came to campus during lockdown to make sure the mail was received and distributed. And our boiler techs and electricians turned down and monitored campus power and heat to save money. All of these duties were performed out of love for the Academy, its students and employees while taking care of regular duties and emergencies too.
