Refund & Payment Policy

Maine Maritime Academy’s Center for Professional Mariner Development (CPMD) is committed to providing essential maritime training when and where mariners need it. To ensure the highest quality instruction, CPMD schedules expert instructors who often travel long distances to our Bucksport, Maine facility. Maintaining an affordable fee structure requires timely cancellations and adherence to payment policies.

Refund Policy

• In-Person Courses: Fully refundable if canceled before the start of class.
• Online Courses: Developed exclusively by CPMD’s instructors and proprietary to our program. Refunds are available only if the course has not been accessed in Canvas, our Learning Management System.
• Employer-Sponsored Courses: Payment must be made in full either upon course completion or within six (6) months of registration, whichever comes first.

All refunds will be issued in full, minus a 2.9% credit card processing fee.

Course Cancellations

CPMD makes every effort to maintain scheduled courses. However, in the event Maine Maritime Academy cancels a course, registered students will be notified as soon as possible and will receive a full refund, including the credit card processing fee.
