Course Description
This course is open to all seafarers who have previously been certified in Advanced Fire Fighting. You must be capable of meeting the physical and professional eligibility requirements for STCW certification, have at least entry-level mariner documents from USCG or a foreign flag state whose mariner credentialing organization will accept USCG documents, and who presents evidence of 1 year of sea time within the past 5 years.

Participants must be clean-shaven in order to meet the NFPA regulations for SCBA’s; mustaches are OK.

Students may want to bring an extra set of clothes for the live fire exercise as there are no showers available on site.

USCG Approval
Applicants who successfully complete our Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation course will satisfy the advanced fire-fighting revalidation requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(h) (l) and 11.303(d); and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010 provided he or she has been previously certified per Section A-VI/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010.
