Course: Blended course, 32 hours of online coursework followed by an 8 hour on campus assessment.

 

Course Description
Management Level (Chief Engineer, Second Engineer Officer – III/2, III/3) if not completed at the operational level.

 

Course Access
Upon registration students will receive a confirmation email with details on how to access the online coursework. You may complete the training at your own pace but may be required to finish one module before advancing to the next. Please allow 24 hours for the enrollment and activation process to be completed.

Once the online modules are completed you will register for your final assessment. Completion of the online modules is a prerequisite for attending the assessment day; however, you may register to take the assessment at any point after starting the course.

Please note: Maine Maritime Academy uses Canvas as our online learning management platform. If you have previously completed any online learning classes at MMA, you will log back in with your existing username and password and see the new class on your dashboard.

 

USCG Approval:

All three GAP courses satisfy the 46 CFR training requirements along with the specific tasks that are found in each course NVIC.
