The course is designed to prepare potential auditors with the practical skills & techniques, dos & don’ts of the voluntary ISO 9001 Quality Management System and audits.

Successful completion will allow delegates to carry out the Internal, Supplier Audits by equipping them with the skills to audit ISM Code.

The course is designed for marine safety professionals, ship owners, ship management specialists, and marine consultants and includes the following main topics: Evolution of the ISM Code, Safety Management Principles and how they apply to safe ship operation, types and methods of audits and planning and preparing for audits.

Course Description
This course will cover communication for both internal and external parties’ issues that DPA’s may face. The ISM Code requires a shore-based representative is available to vessels at all times for crisis management and/or for personnel who may encounter safety or human cultural issues.

Prerequisite
We suggest (but is not required) the ISM Maritime Auditor Training Course as a prerequisite for this course, because of the knowledge of the ISM Code that is required.
