The path to becoming a Midshipman at Maine Maritime Academy starts with the first step, Regimental Preparatory Training (RPT). After RPT, the Midshipmen Under-Guidance (MUGs) begin classes while continuing to be taught and guided by their training cadre through MUG training. The finale of this intense, focused training is comprised of inter- and intra-company competitions and culminates with the MUGs taking the Oath of Midshipmen at our Regimental Induction Ceremony. From that point on, they are 4th Class Midshipmen and will focus on their next phase at Maine Maritime Academy.
