I am originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Lowell, Massachusetts. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture from North Shore Community College.
I served as a United States Air Force veteran as a vehicle maintainer with the 96th Transportation Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. In this role, I provided deployment support for mission-critical vehicles, including those essential for aircraft operations. During my deployment to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia, in support of Operation Southern Watch, I maintained chaser cars used for the U-2 spy plane.
Beyond my military service, I have had the honor of working for two members of the U.S. House of Representatives. I am also a recipient of the American Ingenuity Award, presented by the POPVOX Foundation and #AfghanEvac. This national award recognizes the extraordinary efforts of Congressional caseworkers, federal agency staff, NGOs, and volunteers involved in the relocation and resettlement of Americans and American allies during the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science in Maritime Management at Maine Maritime Academy, with a focus on global logistics. My academic journey includes sailing aboard the historic Schooner Bowdoin on her most recent Arctic voyage. Outside the classroom, I am an active member of the Maine Maritime Academy Shotgun Team and contribute to the Academy’s Coast Guard Auxiliary University Program.
Through my education, professional experiences, and community involvement, I am dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders and mariners at Maine Maritime Academy.
