The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biological Engineering. Their world-class faculty conduct research into biomass to biofuel conversion, surface science and molecular biophysics.
|Forest Bioproductrs Research Institute
FBRI at the University of Maine conducts cutting-edge research in the areas of biomass chemical conversion to bioproducts. They have pioneered developments in chemical conversion technologies to biofuels and novel cellulosic biomaterials.
