Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of Maine Maritime Academy consists of 16 members, all of whom are appointed by the Governor. Members are appointed for a five-year term and may be re-appointed at the discretion of the Governor.  The Board has full legal responsibility and authority for the governance of Maine Maritime Academy. It appoints the President of the Academy, approves the establishment of academic programs, confers degrees on students who have completed all requirements for graduation, sets tuition rates, operating budgets, and more.

NOTICE: The Board of Trustees of the Maine Maritime Academy will meet on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 9:00AM by remote means. The Board will move into executive session for the purposes of discussing finalists for the position of president of the Academy. After the executive session, the Board may vote to authorize the Chair to discuss confidentially the position with one finalist. At a later time, when that confidential discussion is successfully completed, the Academy will announce the selected candidate. Members of the public interested in observing the brief public portions of this meeting may do so via Zoom. Please notify the Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Janet Acker, at Janet.acker@mma.edu.
