Everything is going smoothly underway, as students prepare for upcoming flashlight exams beginning in just 4 days. Flashlights are difficult oral exams given to all freshmen and the junior engineers, which test one’s knowledge of the machinery spaces onboard the ship.  Midshipmen and crew alike are also excited about a change in our berthing location in New York City, our next port of call.  We will now be docking at Pier 36, on Manhattan, just a short walk from many major attractions.
