The day started out with a man overboard drill before setting into the day’s pace of maintenance and training.

By the time that the workday was over, students were eager to begin the long-awaited barbecue and cornhole tournament after the success of the last one. Freshly sliced watermelon was quickly swiped up after the heat during the day as everyone spread between the fantail and the 04 deck for the tournament.

Students were respectful in keeping their distance from the stern lookout during this so they could maintain proper watch while the festivities continued. New and returning competitors participated in the tournament with many observing in lawn chairs or even hammocks.
