Sunny, S Wind at 7 kts, 1022.5 mBs, 85°F Air, 83°F Sea
Today was a unique day of training for all. On the fantail, the 2/C Deck cadets began to assist in cross-training our 4/C engineers in line handling. Everyone took part in this early morning training followed by classroom instruction. Maintenance focused on the continual painting as well as smaller electrical projects within the aft superstructure. During the afternoon 2/C and 4/C deck students were spotted using sextants on the bridge wings for their cruise projects to be done over the course of cruise before the return to Castine.
- 2/C Deck explaining how to pull line in with machinery.
- 2/C Carl Welborn enjoying the weather.
- Engine 4/C students observing instructions on taking on strain.
