Bowdoin Cruise CR-214 started this week with 12 students arriving on Bowdoin for orientation and we’re thrown right into preparation to get the vessel ready to sail ….. sanding and painting are the name of the game for the next few weeks as we take the vessel through ship yard and give this 100 year old vessel the maintenance it needs to keep sailing for another 100 years. Students become the working crew of the vessel taking on all of the responsibilities and work that is required to get the vessel sailing and looking good! We have an excited and energetic crew that is already making great progress to get Bowdoin sailing. Bowdoin will be hauled out at Front Street Shipyard in Belfast, Maine from May 16 until May 23, so if you are in town stop by to say hello to the hard working crew!
