We are now fully at sea. Seas are running 4–6 feet and are a bit rolly. Bowdoin presses on at 7–9 knots, taking spray over the deck in fairly standard moderate offshore conditions, though it is a new experience for much of the student crew.
There have been a few “offerings to the sea” from the green-gilled, but nothing that has kept anyone from standing watch at the helm or on lookout.
The day was spent adjusting sail plans, shifting from a reefed mainsail to a full mainsail as we continued making good time toward the Chesapeake.
