Bowdoin is officially underway, sailing south with 11 students as part of CR 313 Training Cruise A. This cruise is designed as a training opportunity for rising seniors in Maine Maritime Academy’s VOT programs. The students will take on many responsibilities throughout the voyage, including that of watch officer as we make our way towards Nova Scotia. They will also be working on their passage planning, weather routing, seamanship, and celestial navigation skills.
