The summer program, CR-214, is set to begin on May 11, marking the start of another season of hands-on learning and adventure aboard the schooner Bowdoin. In the weeks leading up to departure, students and crew will prepare the vessel for sea while working primarily at the shipyard, building the skills and teamwork essential for the voyage ahead. The ship is scheduled to depart on June 5.

This summer, Bowdoin will take part in the historic America’s 250 commemoration, joining vessels from across the country in celebrating 250 years of American history. The voyage will include port calls in Norfolk, New York City, and Boston, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with maritime traditions while representing Maine Maritime Academy on a national stage.
