Jessica Lindsay, Marine Bio/SVO ’20, recently was awarded the prestigious NOAA Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship. The scholarship includes academic assistance, a full-time paid internship at a NOAA facility, and funding to attend conferences for presenting research results.The goal of the scholarship is to provide recipients with hands-on, practical experience in NOAA-related science, research, technology, policy, management, and education activities. Jessica will start her internship in the summer of 2019. In the meantime, she will spend the summer of 2018 at the Downeast Institute in Beals Island, ME. Way to go, Jessica!
