Prof. O’Malley is known within the Ocean Studies department to be a local naturalist extraordinaire, and Wild Seed magazine is noticing too. Prof. O’Malley says: “This is the third piece I’ve done for Wild Seed; they liked the first one I did on cotton tail rabbits and their favored habitat well enough to continue to ask me to write for them (my ‘beat’ is plants in relationship to other organisms). They assign the topic, and I work with the editor to shape the piece.” Congrats!
