Cristin Wright, a 2017 graduate of the Marine Science/SVO program at MMA, was recently accepted to the School of Marine Science graduate program at VIMS. Cristin spent the summer of 2016 working at VIMS where she developed an interest in marine sediment and geological processes. She expanded on this interest during her senior research at MMA with a project entitled “Effect of suspended bivalve aquaculture on the physical and chemical composition of sediment in the Bagaduce River, Maine”. Cristin will be working in the Coastal Hydrodynamics and Sediment Dynamics lab during her time at VIMS. We are so excited to see her start the next leg of her science journey and wish her every success!
