Rachel Borisko (Marine Bio/SVO, ’19) and Alexandra Allen (Marine Science, ’19) each received the MMA Scheel Scholar award this fall. The Scheel Scholar award goes to students who best exemplify intellectual curiosity and achievement. In addition, Alex was awarded a NOAA Hollings scholarship, a prestigious award that provides financial assistance for two years of college and a 10-week, full-time paid internship at a NOAA facility during the summer.
