Cristin Wright (Marine Science/SVO ’18), currently a graduate student at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, is one of this year’s recipients of the William J. Hargis Jr. Fellowship Award. The award is given by VIMS faculty each year to a first-year student who “demonstrates superior academic performance and exceptional promise for a successful career in marine science.” This same award was bestowed upon current MMA Asst. Professor Steven Baer when he was a graduate student at VIMS in 2007. What a great academic connection!
