Dates have been set! Cruise will begin December 29, 2015 and conclude on January 21, 2016.
Students will meet the ship for the winter training cruise on Tuesday, December 29.
Winter cruise departs on January 2, 2016 at approximately 10 am. Please arrive early to make sure and catch the departure! Live streaming of the January 2 TSSOM Cruise departure is tentatively scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and can be viewed at streaming.mma.edu.
Students may leave a vehicle parked on campus while on cruise, but parking is extremely limited. A set of keys to the vehicle must be left with MMA Campus Safety. All vehicles left on campus must be properly inspected and insured. NOTE: There is no overnight waterfront parking.
During the time students are docked in Castine, guests and parents will be able to visit students (who are not on watch) onboard after liberty is called. Castine is considered a working port and as such liberty is normally called at 1600 or later depending on the events of the day. Every item brought on will be searched in each port (this includes handbags). Do not bring anything on board you do not wish to have searched. All guests are required to be off the Ship by 2100 each night.
