Despite our original plans to stay pier-side in Castine, we are leaving town this morning and will be re-docking at the Sprague Terminal later today. From there, we will be able to complete our academic program requirements and finally obtain our degrees. It is a quiet, still morning and we expect an easy transit.
Re-docking in Searsport will allow us to fully focus on the educational and training mission of this Fast Cruise. We will be working with faculty and staff on all systems on the ship, including the main engine, generators, sanitation and water-making systems, refrigeration and more, accruing operational time and taking credited academic courses through August 8.
