Today students were fully dispersed throughout St. Croix. Many found it amusing that there was a local chicken population roaming through all parts of the island. Some even fight over food in the middle of a road without a care.

This is something that is common in many countries, where livestock roams freely through the streets, often without owners. This all played into the experience of the island, where only in downtown Christiansted can you get burgers and dine with angry roosters in an outdoor restaurant on the boardwalk.
