TSSOM anchored overnight in Searsport to prepare for the first leg of our journey into the Atlantic. Lifeboat drills took place early in the morning as part of this preparation followed by the start of the workday. Muster (attendance and news to be passed) occurred at 1300 followed immediately by raising of the anchor. This evolution was skillfully performed by Bravo deck maintenance without incident. Students and faculty alike were all eager to head out to sea and start on the next portion of our cruise heading to Charleston, South Carolina.
