With the day well underway, needle guns and grinders began scraping away at the deck as Bravo began maintenance of the ship though painting worn areas to seal them from the water eating away at the steel. On the fantail, Delta began training on throwing monkey’s paws in the afternoon as practice for throwing lines ashore when tying vessels along piers and towing operations.

All the while, cadets at the bridge began practicing Williamson turns along the route, intended for retrieving individuals in the water.
During cruise, 4/C Midshipmen get the opportunity to take the helm of the TSSOM during watch under the supervision of their watch officer. Today we also celebrated the belated birthday of Colby Fournier with cake in the regimental office!
