Day 29: Fire Systems Upkeep

Over the course of the day, work was done in order to test and maintain the main firehose system aboard the TSSOM. This system is filled with saltwater drawn from outside the vessel during fires to preserve freshwater while still putting out any fires.

This results in rust within the pipes that need regular flushing and maintenance to upkeep. In order to do this, MIDN went around to each station checking for leaks or clogs, then drain the system on each level to clear any debris and note any further issues that will need addressing such as broken valves or damage to the nozzles.
