This week we’re commuting regularly to Belfast as Bowdoin is on the hard at Front Street Shipyard getting new bottom paint, undergoing hull services and anchor chain inspections, and having a variety of other work done.

It’s a tremendous effort but and she is looking great but the best part is that students are doing all of that work. They are learning what it takes for a vessel to go through a yard period in an efficient and timely manner. It really helps that people “oohh” and “ahhh” at our progress as they walk by!
