2019 Schooner Bowdoin

August 1: Canadian Waters

Posted on: August 2, 2019

After an easy passage across the Gulf of Maine, Bowdoin has finally reached Canadian waters. The vessel will arrive in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, on Friday morning. Our arrival marks the completion of the first half of Cruise A.

This evening, training officer Hank Mosley held a class on celestial sight reductions of the sun. During the last half of cruise, we’ll focus on passage planning and enhancing the crews celestial navigation skills.
