Phone: 207-326-2670Captain Zander Parker is an experienced professional mariner and marine technician with over 20 years' experience in maritime education and training at sea and ashore. His career began in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and has included crewing, command, maritime entrepreneurship, and project management aboard recreational yachts, USCG inspected T-boats, sub-chapter M tugboats, and sail training ships. He holds limited licensed mariner credentials in both the United States and Canada. He began teaching at Maine Maritime Academy in 2014 as a Small Craft Master, joining faculty and teaching topics in small engine mechanics, boat handling, marine systems, tanker operations, watchkeeping, navigation, and traditional seamanship. Captain Parker’s teaching is crafted through seagoing experience and classroom instruction, creating a foundation of professionalism and skill when working with beginners and experts alike.
