2017 Schooner Bowdoin

Warm Welcome in Saguenay

Posted on: July 14, 2017

We arrived in Saguenay under full sail gliding by a dock filled with the people of the city. The crew was immediately amazed at the warm welcome given to the ship. Once we arrived at the dock with our sails stowed we were greeted by our two hosts Gill and Norma who said “anything you need we can do it for you”. This wonderful welcome and the hospitality to follow was world class. In fact the city of Saguenay has won awards for their hospitality.

The ship and the crew worked hard to return this wonderful hospitality as we welcomed 1600 of Saguenay’s citizens aboard to share Bowdoin’s history and mission.
