January Challenge – Eat Healthy

According to the National Institute of Health a healthy eating plan gives your body the nutrients it needs and will also lower your risk of heart disease and other health conditions.

This month’s challenge is to eat healthy!

At the start of each year many Americans make a resolution to eat healthier, diet and exercise more. Ship Shape says “Good for you” if you are planning to improve your eating habits but the Mayo Clinic suggests not feeling pressured to change your diet overnight. Instead, they recommend tackling one step at a time by adding a fruit or vegetable to your lunch, or choosing whole wheat pasta or brown rice for dinner. Taking it slow will help you maintain your healthier habits in the long run.
