We are on the final stretch of the journey to Spain. Students were involved in port briefs today, including information on beaches, shopping centers, and places for food. Everyone was scattered throughout the day ensuring that the ship was running smoothly. In the engine room, students worked on fixing chill water pump number 2, which is responsible for AC onboard. Students also worked on replacing old florescent bulbs with new LED’s. On deck maintenance, Alpha Company continued to work hard on the ship’s new coat of paint. Bravo Company continued training today learning how to plot a course on a chart. Charlie Company was on utility cleaning the ship and getting all waste ready to offload in Spain. Finally, Delta Company had watch today running the ship on the main propulsion engine after testing the e-motor last night. Tonight Sodexo held another late night meal event for all onboard. They offered a burger bar with hand cut fries, as well as cream puffs made by one of our talented Sodexo workers, Jayme Maynard. All smiles onboard as we reach Alicante, Spain tomorrow morning!
