Day 28 | Adiós! Departure from Tenerife
Posted on: June 1, 2017
Soon the Canaries will be behind us, but hopefully some great memories were made! At the moment however, the training ship is being escorted via tug out of her berthing and putting the line handlers to work. For most freshmen aboard TSSOM, this is the farthest they’ve ever been from home. There was an inspection of the engine room this morning to be sure there wouldn’t be any hiccups during the journey since the replacement of the broken head bolt. Lots of students stand on deck to say farewell to the islands before preparing to sail across The Atlantic once more.
