Our third day out of Charleston; students are getting accustomed to the heat and humidity. Islands could be sighted on the horizon today as we passed by the Bahamas on our roundabout route to Tampa. “Fishing is still slow” 2/C Seale reports. Emergency Drills were conducted today including, X-ray (lockdown drill), Fire and Emergency, and Abandon ship. These drills are vital for the safety of all on the Training Ship. Alpha Company is finishing up a stint on utility and prepares to begin three days of maintenance, while Bravo ends their maintenance stint and begins training. Charlie has been on training, and will take up the watch at midnight tonight, leaving Delta Company on utility for the next three days.
