Seas have calmed and the weather has cleared, allowing deck maintenance to get back to chipping and painting today. Engine maintenance finished re-assembling a fuel-oil purifier, a weather-independent task. Training took to the deck in the morning to practice line-handling, and went below in the afternoon to learn about the steering gear, practice general fabrication, and receive an introduction to gas turbines and turbochargers. We cross into yet another time zone tonight, and although students might not be happy about losing an hour of sleep, it brings us another day closer to our first European port, something both students and crew are happy about.
