Our first full day underway from Cobh has gone smoothly. Midshipmen have enjoyed views of Scotland and Ireland all day, with the ship now navigating through the Hebrides. The scenery is spectacular and a refreshing change from the heavy fog we’ve been in since leaving Cobh. A trip to Bastogne, the site of the Battle of the Bulge during WWII, and the War Museum is being offered to students and staff during our stay in Belgium, and combined with wing night tonight, morale is high.
