Hot and humid are the words of the day. Engineering spent the day locating where students had closed the air conditioning dampers because they were cold earlier in cruise so that berthing spaces can get cooled down again. The Bosun kept up the assault on rust and the special fabrication project in the machine shop is nearing completion.

- Confined Space Search and Rescue is very important when it comes to fire fighting. Deck Trainer 3rd Mate Chris Porter is blindfolding 4/C Hahn, 4/C Harper and 4/C Grant-Roy for this exercise to simulate the zero visibility caused by a fire in an enclosed space.
- Team Leader 4/C Hahn makes sure he gets all of his people before getting out of the Confined Space. He can’t see them, so he must use aural communication and physically ensure that each one goes through the hatch.
- The replacement propellers are stowed for our transit. Ms. Clark holds up a piece of 8.5″ x 11″ paper to give perspective on just how large they are.
