Weather: Mostly Cloudy, Rain Showers Wind: NE 18 kts. Seas: Moderate swell
The day started cloudy with rain showers all around. The bridge watch did their best to avoid most of the showers and some of the painting jobs were able to be worked on. As a low pressure builds off N. Africa, we are seeing increasing wind speed and expect the swell to pick up as we approach the Straight of Gibraltar. We passed close by the Azores, close enough that there was cell phone reception so there may be a few surprises in this month’s phone bill. Alpha finished up a block of training and had their test for this module. Tonight will be dedicated to the thermodynamics project for the engineers.
