We have entered the Gulf of Maine and will be anchored off Cape Elizabeth by evening. There are two cruise ships departing Portland tomorrow so we will be timing our arrival so as to be at the pier between 1400 and 1430.
NOTICE TO ANYONE MEETING THE SHIP IN PORTLAND: On June 13, once we are moored and have the gangway set, we will need to clear Customs and Agriculture which will take a couple hours. If everything goes perfectly, the earliest that I would expect for students to be leaving the ship on liberty is 1730.

As a safety measure when working aloft, midshipmen are required to use safety harnesses to keep them safely secured to a structural member in the unlikely case of a fall.
