All good things must come to an end, and that was the case with the weather today. After several days of perfect weather, we were met with wind and rain today and the seas began to build a bit in the afternoon. Alpha took over the watch today and Delta continued on training, nearing the end of their final training module and 2/C flashlight exams.

- 2/C Yim along with Professor Smith and the 2nd Engineer performance test the main engine in order to calculate the horse power. Our main propulsion engine is rated for 8000hp.

- 4/C White and 4/C Wright along with Ms. Osborne work on cleaning a ventilation shaft on the 01 deck of the aft house. You can tell by their expressions that what came out was not too pleasant.

- 4/C Olearcek and 4/C Pettegrow vacuum up before replacing the linoleum on one of the staircases in the aft house.

- 4/C Kivler and 4/C Littlefield work on scrubbing down the deck in the forward mess deck this morning on Utility.

- 4/C Ginn and 4/C Goodine work together to memorize the Main Engine Jacket Water system in preparation for their engine test tomorrow.

- The ship’s Plumber along with a Charlie 2/C work on repairing a flushometer (yes, that is the actual name of the mechanism) today on engine maintenance.

- Capt. Tarrant, with a group of second class deck students, explains how to properly operate a fire extinguisher and hand-held flares in the case of an emergency.

- 4/C Bravo Utility finishing up cleaning stations this afternoon.
