Early this morning, the ship neared the final resting site of the El Faro and we gathered on the 03-reception deck to hold a memorial service for the Maine Maritime Academy Alumni who passed away on October 1, 2015. The memorial included students who performed music and two students who designed a life ring in the honor of those who were lost. The life ring will be permanently mounted as a memorial aboard the ship.
