Welcome to the TSSOM Training Cruise blog!

We will be sharing updates from the ship as it travels across the Atlantic this summer and look forward to posting many pictures and stories along the way. Posts will chronicle the progress of the ship, a summary of activities, highlights, stats (latitude and longitude, speed, passage distance, etc.), and more. From the blog, a map of the TSSOM’s course will be viewable throughout the voyage.

The 2019 TSSOM Training Cruise begins in port on May 5 and the ship will depart on Wednesday, May 8 between 2-3pm. A livestream of the departure will be broadcast on our website at streaming.mainemaritime.edu.
