Day 59: Open ocean
The TSSOM is continuing its journey across the pond and officially left Europe’s the continental shelf yesterday. So far, we have had favorable weather and seas.
Today, Alpha Company is on maintenance, with half of the 4/C are doing deck maintenance, and the other half are on engine maintenance. Bravo Company is on utility duty today after finishing their last training day before their final exams. Charlie Company assumed the watch at midnight and will continue in that role until Thursday. Delta Company just completed a stretch of watch duty, and are now headed into their final days of training as well.
We’re now looking ahead to the 4th of July, where the Stewards dept. will be hosting a BBQ cookout on the fantail!
