The countdown to the 2018 summer cruise has begun! Just two weeks until the first group of students move aboard. Right now midshipmen are wrapping up their studies and preparing for a 70-day learning adventure on the open sea. Staff and crew are busy readying TS State of Maine for her annual sail. Supplies are being taken aboard including bulk items such as dry goods and non-perishable food stores.

This year’s cruise will depart Castine on May 10 for ports in Spain, Netherlands, Portugal, and Italy. Details about estimated departure time and the live-streaming schedule for the event will be posted in the days to come.
