And we’re off! Friends and family watched as TSSOM departed for her 70-day haul across the Atlantic. The MMA Library staff was on board once again to take virtual-reality footage of the ship leaving. They, along with President Brennan, stayed on board to Searsport before taking the Addy Rae back to Castine. Although the first night was a bit rocky as all got used to the motion of the sea, students are thrilled to begin their summer of learning and traveling. The first stop is New York City to refuel (bunker) the ship, and then off to Cadiz, Spain.
