9:03 AM, and the Charleston Pilots have come on board to bring our ship into port. By 10:37, Captain Eadie called “First Line.” We made it to our first destination. Now for four days of Southern Hospitality. First day out, and it’s 82 and sunny. Cadets will explore the historical parts of the city such as Fort Sumter, Patriot Point and the USS Yorktown, and Fort Moultrie, do some shopping along Market Street at the Old Slave Market, or go to the beach and relax by the water.
